The aim for the spikes is to impale or skewer opponents, however each spike only has enough power to pierce an inch deep into exposed, or lightly covered, skin.  Each spike in the AOE is spaced roughly two-three metres apart.

Counter Dome:
Name of Spell: Counter Dome
Elemental Type: Diamond
Spell Rank: Intermediate
Spell Type: Attack Creation/Defensive
Range: Dome ½M radius of user.  75M for counter attack
Mana Cost: 15
Description: Jett creates a diamond dome around himself, and anyone close enough in range, that acts as a shield from attacks.  The dome itself cannot be broken by junior spells. Two junior rank spells would be able to break through, so long the person's power stat is +10 still Intermediate spells would require +10 attack stat in comparison to Jett’s stamina stats.  The dome cannot withstand attacks from higher ranked spells.  Once the dome is hit with an attack it can with stand it instantly returns and attack of its own in the form of a half metre long javelin, a centre metre in diameter forming into a sharp point at each end.  The number of javelins produced will correlate with the number of attack received however the for every 10 in your control a single javelin can be produced per post. If the number of attacks received is higher than the number of javelins the user can produce, the user is able to select which target his javelins attack. Once the javelin’s once formed will instantly take off at 75 mph to the location of the original spells caster.
